About Me

First watched wrestling when my grandad took me to see a show and loved  it ever since then. My favourties were Mark Rocco and Fit Finlay.

Regularly watch TNA and WWE and shame that there is no british shows on TV.

In my spare time i train in kickboxing and I am a black belt 1st dan and just pre graded for my 2nd dan.  I also love listening to rock music the louder the better :D

About Me

Hi all!  Privelidged to now be part of the forum.  Great days!  First went live wrestling in 1963 at West Ham baths, which was my local.  Spencer Churchill, The Zebra Kid, Bruno Elrington, Al Miquet, Dick Conlon come immediately to mind.  My late Mum and Grandmother were huge fans, and when my father died in 1978 I started taking my Mum to live wrestling to divert her mind from her bereavement.  We had some wonderful nights, especially at the Royal Albert Hall from 1979 - 1981.  Also Catford Town Hall, Walthamstow Assembly Hall, Woolwich Granada etc.  Put on a couple of shows myself, via Dale Martin at the ACE cinema in Upton Park in 1980, top of the bill Mick McManus .v. Johnny Kwango, and got to speak to the late great Mike Marino.  Also a show at the Elephant and Castle via All-Star.  Now take my youngest daughter (13) and her friends to Croydon Fairfield Halls when they have shows on, courtesty of Brian Dixon (a great personality and a brilliant promoter).  All in all I'd like to thank all the "old-timers" here (some not so old, certainly not as old as me!) for all the wonderful entertainment and belief over the years.  Certainly helped my Mum in her grieving period, and to be honest Wayne Bridge .v. "Mighty" John Quinn was certainly worth the entrace fee alone!  Good luck all wrestlers past and present, it's an honour being able to communicate with you all.

About Me

When still in shorts, I was taken by my Dad to St George's Hall in Bradford weekly during the season to see the wrestling. Loved it and it made a big impression on me. I became a grappling fan - avidly watching the wrestling on ITV and listening to the commentary of the late great Kent Walton. I've retained my interest in reading about the heroes of the ring from the 60s and how they are getting along - those that are still with us. Can't say I'm a fan of the US influenced stuff that's now popular but then, I am getting a bit older. Meantime, I own and run a business that provides temperature control equipment to agriculture and I also run and appear with a 12 piece folk-rock ensemble - Feast of Fiddles. Retain my interest in the wrestling though, so thoroughly appreciate the British Wrestlers Reunion web site and hope to make one of the reunion bashes one day.
