We are nearing the end of the first round of our A-Z collection of names long gone, and reach the letters X and Y. There are probably more to be found than you might think...

If you’ve looked in to the Wrestling Heritage site this week you’ll know that we’ve updated our new series Television’s Top 200 Wrestlers every night of the week and will continue with these daily updates until we reach number one on 23rd December.

In fact there will be an update to the site every day in December and into the New Year.

News updates this week have included the sad passing of two more former wrestling favourites and a bit of trouble at t’ mill for Lancashire’s Eddie Rose. With distribution difficulties meaning many fans let down by their suppliers of Eddie’s new book, “Send In The Clowns” check out the Heritage site to discover how you can get your copy in time for Christmas.

Tonight’s update is in the Shining Stars section, with a tribute to wrestling’s Man of Granite. Take a look

This week's addition to the Wrestling Heritage site is in the features section, with our sceond in the trilogy of tributes to Evan Treharne and Ringsport magazine. Have a look in the Features section at The Journal That Is Different.

Our daily countdown of Television's Top 200 Wrestlers has now reached number 60, and will continue until 23rd December. The format will change when we reach number 20 on Thursday, and again when we reach number three next Sunday.

Tonight's Heritage update is the third issue of our Ringsport Revival, which contains four new articles and four reprints from the pages of Ringsport. Ringsport was quite a remarkable magazine, always overshadowed by The Wrestler which it outlasted by many years. Some readers may only have seen the magazine in the 1980s when it became a sad shadow of its former self. Evan Treharne, a lovely man, became very disillusioned as some of the biggest promoters turned their back on him and refused to allow the magazine to be sold in their halls. As a result the magazine went downhill fast, with articles regurgitated and attention to detail sadly lacking. Prior to that the magazine had been informative and one of the few places to gather information about the independent scene.

In our latest Ringsport Revival section our four new features are:

Ray's St Valentines Day Massacre

The Giants of Wrestling – Midgets

Wrestlers Re-united

Mat Mixture

From the pages of the original Ringsport we have:

Shirley Crabtree v Kendo Nagasaki

Bill Ross

Wrestling Chatter

Alan Rudkin
