I used to love going to see Jack at the Liverpool Stadium. Poor old Len Ross(the referee) used to to have trouble
controlling Jack and I've even saw him get thrown out of the ring himself. Wrestling today day is not the same.
May be I was brain washed a bit. I was only 12 or 13 yrs of age. Things look different then. But nothing can take
away the exitement when I looked at the Liverpool echo and saw that jack was on the bill. Great Times.

My Uncle Sam Crossley was a Top of the bill wrestler in the 40s/50s, he fought for Relwyskow Green promotions at Leeds Town Hall, for many years I had bill for the promotion of a contest at Leeds Town Hall, topping the bill was Jack Pye v Sam Crossley ( Sam Crossley wrestled Jack Pye many times) sadly its since been lost. Every summer Sam Crossley wrestled in Morecombe. Sam lived in Leeds
