Hi My Dad Frankie Hughes new all the old wrestlers, Mick Mcmanus(met him myself)...Jacky Palo, Adrian Street, Brian Glover(sadly passed), he also new the others, Giant Haystacks, and Big daddy.. Frankie Hughes was also a great great friend to the famous Indian wrestler Billy Two Rivers, My dad stayed at his reservation many many times, even shortly before Frankie's Death in 2002....Dad was a great dad, such fun and I wonder if any others remember him....he at one time was known as 'The Sydenham Cyclone'....As you can read, Im very proud of my Dads acheivments...thanks for reading...Jill his eldest daughter

Hello, Would you have any additional information on the following Wrestler? this is what i know so far, i know him as Bert Jones, i dont know if he is still alive, nearly 10 yrs have passed since i met him( he may have been in his late 70's or early eighties then ) in the late 1990's in Ireland in the town of Fermoy, Irish Republic, when on a fishing holiday,we met up for several years but i lost contact with him, he told me that he was at one time a professional Wrestler, i do remember him telling me that he had appeared in the bout that was the first televised show, broadcast by ITV. other info i have is: his son Allan was or is a professional Wrestler i think Allan had some titles, and took up property developing, Bert himself at sometime became a pig farmer, all lived in the Manchester area, i would like to know if Bert is still around, thanks. yours, Tony Williams
